Upgrading and Maintaining Components

6 Remove the new memory module(s) from its anti-static package.

Hold the memory module only by its edges to prevent static-

electricity damage.

7 Align the module over the appropriate slot, noting the location of

pin 1 on the module and pin 1 on the slot.

Motherboard (PCV-RS320 series model shown)

8 Carefully but firmly insert the edge of the module into the slot.

✍ The PCV-RS310 series model has only two memory module slots on the motherboard. See the

“Specifications” chapter for details.
