Configuring Your System

Changing Power Management Settings

Power Management capability is designed to enable your computer to

reduce power or shut itself off after being idle for a specified period

of time.

1 From the Start menu, click Control Panel, select Performance and

Maintenance, then click Power Options.

The Power Options Properties dialog box opens, with the Power

Schemes tab displayed.
